The term breast cancer refers to a malignant tumor that has developed from cells in the breast. There are several types of tumors that may develop within different areas of the breast. Most tumors are the result of benign (non-cancerous) changes within the breast.

There are two common types of breast cancer :-   1. Non Invasive Breast Cancer

                                                                               2. Invasive Breast Cancer.

The most common non invasive breast cancer is Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS) Invasive Ductal Carcinoma & Invasive Lobular Carcinoma.

 

Risk Factor :

1. Family history
2. Genetic predisposition.
3. Early onset of menstrual cycles
4. Late menopause.
5. First pregnancy at older age.
6. Hormone therapy..
7. Birth control pills.
8. Smoking
9. Excessive use of alcohol.

 

Symptoms:

1. A lump or thickening in the breast or armpit
2. A change in the size or shape of the breast
3. Discharge from the nipple
4. A change in the color or texture of the skin of the breast or areola.

 

Diagnosis :

1. Physical Examination
2. Mammography
